A capacitor bank is made up of several identical capacitors connected in parallel or series. These electrical equipment consist of groups of capacitors used to counteract or correct undesirable characteristics such as power factor delays or phase shifts in AC electrical power supplies. In direct current (DC), capacitor banks can be used to improve ripple current and increase the stored energy.
